Mr. Gehl has for over two decades, resolved issues in the U.S. and abroad, with experience as a Partner or Of Counsel in major international Law Firms, as CEO and Senior Management in large international companies and as General Counsel. The integration of technical, business and legal expertise brings a powerful skill set to the 21 st century organization. Serving as Secretary and Director of Investor Relations for a NYSE company he had frequent contact with both the NYSE and the SEC for proxy preparation and compliance issues. He has worked in the EU and Africa since 1992 and the Pacific Rim since 1993.
Tom has advised management teams in a dozen countries on mergers and acquisitions, contracts, real estate issues, environmental, health and Safety regulations, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and international practices. As an auditor of environmental management systems (EMS) he became fully acquainted with ISO and Six Sigma management methods. He routinely identifies the most cost-effective way to achieve compliance through best practices management. He has saved millions of dollars for clients while increasing overall compliance.
Tom’s long history of helping to develop the next generation of environmental regulations has made him a leader in the field and a sought-out lecturer. Combining the roles of Corporate Social Responsibility with Sustainability has led his companies to a new level of compliance and respect among their stakeholders. Mr. Gehl has achieved the AV Preeminent Peer Review rating by Martindale-Hubbell which is the highest rating in legal ability and ethical standards. Recently he was recognized for being in the top 1% of all American lawyers for the past 15 consecutive years. For the past several years he has been selected as a “Top Rated Lawyer in Energy, Environmental, & Natural Resources”.
Tom has been involved in education since 1978 at University where he completed his training to teach science in Secondary Education. He student taught HS Biology, was an Adjunct Professor at Marquette University Law School, Lecturer at Peking University. He has also assisted Private and Charter Schools to become established.
